Young football players didn’t allow a hail storm to put an end to their match on Tuesday when teams Fram and Fjölnir met in Reykjavík.
According to Fótbolti.net, the boys, aged 14 to 16, battled through the hail storm without running for cover or asking for the match to be abandoned.
Lárus Rúnar Grétarsson, Fram’s coach, filmed the match and put the video on Youtube. Praising the boys he said: “The lads growing up in Iceland are clearly not made of cotton.”
Fram picked up a 3-2 win against Fjölnir.
