The Icelandic budget airline WOW air has announced it will commence flights between Keflavík and JFK airport in New York on April 26 2018. The airline will fly daily to JFK over the summer. The airline already flies direct between Keflavík and Newark in New York.
At the same time as WOW adds the JFK-Keflavík flights it will nearly double the number of flights between Newark and Keflavík, from seven to 13, bringing the total flights between Keflavík and New York to 20.
In addition to JFK and Newark WOW Air flies direct between Keflavík and 13 destinations in North America, 11 in the US and 2 in Canada. The US destinations are Boston, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Pittsburgh, San Fransisco, and St. Louis, while the destinations in Canada are Toronto and Montréal.
