The Icelandic budget airline WOW air made its first flight to Miami, Florida in the USA on Wednesday night. The airline plans to fly to Miami three times each week, year round. Miami is the seventh US city served by WOW air. The airline also flies to Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Boston and Pittsburgh. Flights to Chicago will start this summer.
Wow air will fly between Miami and Keflavík on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
WOW air hopes that adding Miami as a destination will not only make it easier for US travellers, and especially Floridians to visit Iceland, but that Florida and Miami will become a popular destination for Icelanders hoping to escape to a warmer climate during the summer.
