Winter has hit full force, more bad weather ahead 2081

A strong north and northeast wind, 18 to 25 m/s (40 to 56 mph) is expected in the northwester and west Iceland today, according to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO). Other areas will also face some stiff wind, or 10 to 18 m/s (22 to 40 mph).

IMO predicts snow in the Westfjords and also in most of the north part after noon, but in places light snowshowers in the south. Lighter wind in the eastern part until evening, north and northwest 10 to 18 (22 to 40 mph) in most parts tomorrow. Snow or snowshowers in the north, but partly cloudy and mainly dry in the south. Temperature 1 to 7 C (34 to 45 F).
