What makes West Iceland particularly appealing in the eyes of CNN is the fact that it has, until now, seen far fewer foreign visitors than the popular destinations, and especially Reykjavík. But as CNN points out: It is extremely easy to get to places which have not been swallowed by cuddly puffin shops as CNN puts itÞ the rest of the country, beyond the main geysers-and-waterfalls day trips, is still far from being overwhelmed.
