The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) has issued a warning to travellers. A strong gale or more than 20 m/s (44.74 mph) is expected in the northwest and by the south coast today.
IMO's weather outlook for next 24 hours:
East and northeast 15 to 23 m/s (33.55-51.45 mph) in the northwest and by the southcoast today, elsewhere 10 to 18 m/s (22.37-40.26 mph). Widely rain and considerable precipitation in the southeast and east this evening and tonight. Mostly dry late noon tomorrow, but drizzle or rain in the southeast and by the shore in the northwest. Temperature 3 to 12 degrees C (37.4-53.6 F), warmest in the south.
