Weather forecast holds warmer temperatures, calmer winds 5528

The Icelandic Meteorological Office predicts temperatures will rise and winds will slow down over the next several days. Temperatures will likely remain around freezing on Friday, but might have climbed to 7-8°C (44-46°F) by Sunday. A light breeze from the south, with isolated sleet or rainshowers in the south on Friday and Saturday, and some snow in the North, but mostly dry in the east and north-east.

The Icelandic Road and Coastal Authority warns motorists that roads in all parts of Iceland are likely to have slick and slppery pathches due to ice and snow. Travellers are adviced to show caution.
