Want to travel Ring Road (Hringvegurinn) but don’t have the time? Sigur Rós has edited its journey around the island into a 6-minute-long video clip for your viewing.

A broadcasting van from the National Broadcasting Service travelled Route 1 (Hingvegurinn) for 24-hours, beginning the journey on 20th of June and completing it on the summer solstice on the 21st June, and transmitted live from the trip while constantly playing Sigur Rós’ brand new single Óveður.

The video, entitled Route One, only features one of the band’s three members; at the end of the video, Jónsi, the band’s lead singer, can be seen opening a gate on Laugavegur, Reykjavík's main shopping street, to allow the vehicle to pass.
