A group of people on board the whale watching boat Rósin were fortunate enough to encounter a curious and friendly minke whale just outside Grótta, in Faxaflói bay, yesterday evening.
The captain of the boat told Nútíminn that he’d never experienced anything like it before, adding that the animal had been young and particularly curious about its surroundings.
“It swam along the boat for roughly half an hour, diving underneath it many times before resurfacing again to say hello,” said captain Borgar Björgvinsson.
Eitt magnaðasta sem ég upplifað í hvalaskoðunni.
