A video from The World’s Strongest Man competition in 1986 showing strongman Jón Páll Sigmarsson throwing his opponent into the sea has been published on WSM’s Facebook page under the caption “Jón Páll making a splash at WSM '86! The ultimate entertainer.”

Jón Páll was an Icelandic strongman and powerlifter and the first to win the WSM contest four times. He died in 1993, at the age of 32, after suffering cardiac arrest.

The video clip shows Jón Páll and Frenchman Jean-Pierre Brulois engaged in a match of tug of war. After Jean-Pierre doges falling into the water between them, Jón Páll runs over, grabs his opponent and chucks him into the sea. Thankfully, the incident ended on good terms, with the two strongmen hugging it out.
