We at Iceland Insider always welcome drone videos shot in Iceland, especially when they manage to capture the varied landscapes and sights you are treated to when travelling in Iceland. The landscape changes constantly. Not just every mile, but also every day, since the seasons and weather also determine what the landscape looks like. And as this video clearly shows, you don’t need a 4×4 to get deep into the highlands to experience amazing views. The group drove around the coast of Iceland in 12 days, visiting Snæfellsnes peninsula in the West, and the Westfjords, in addition to the more popular choice of taking the ring road. Along the way the group stops at several of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland, including Fjaðrárgljúfur (at 2:20) and Reynisfjara beach (at 4:55) in South Iceland. We also see beautiful aerial shots of the picturesque Kirkjufell mountain (starting at the 2 min mark) on the north coast of Snæfellsnes peninsula, a popular stop for photographers.

Of course the group visited some of the countless waterfalls along the route. The beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafjossar in West Iceland make an appearance around the 1:30 mark and the dramatic Dynjandi in the Westfjords shortly after 3:00, followed by Goðafoss waterfall in North Iceland at 3:45 and Gullfoss at 4:30. And of course Skógafoss at the end of the video, at 5:50.
