The Icelandic Meteorological Office has issued a warning of unusual lows for Tuesday and Monday. Wind velocity may possibly reach levels of up to ten to eighteen meters per second on Tuesday; and with gusts reaching up to 35 meters per second with Reykjavík and the southwest region being the part of Iceland receiving the brunt of the lows during these days.
These lows will be accompanied by heavy rain in the south later today, Monday, and during Tuesday night. Conditions are expected to change on Wednesday when the path of lows moves to the north of Iceland. Travellers and tourists with wagons are asked to follow weather reports for the next few days.
