Severe easterly gales will affect all parts of the country tomorrow, Thursday, with gusts of 30 metres per second (108 km per hour/67 mph) are likely quite widely. Individual blasts could reach up to 35 metres per second (126 km per hour/78 mph) in more exposed areas such as Kirkjubæjarklaustur and the Eyjafjöll mountain range, south Iceland. 

The wind will bring heavy rain and snow and motorists are advised to be aware of difficult driving conditions and travel disruption. Parts of Ring Road 1 could become impassable during the day.
