Some roads are currently closed due to ice and snow drift. Hellisheiði road (part of Ring Road 1, linking Reykjavík to the south coast) is impassable due to heavy snow drift. Traffic has been diverted on to Þrengslin road which has been cleared.
Fróðárheiði and Útnesvegur roads in Snæfellsnes are impassable.
Roads in the Westfjords, north and east Iceland are passable but very icy.
