The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) has issued a warning: A strong gale or more than 20 m/s (44.7 mph) is expected in the Westfjords and North Iceland tonight (Wednesday). As the forecast for the area also includes snow, travel conditions will be bad.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the storm will swipe across Southeast Iceland. The forecast for the southwest part and the capital is however good.

Westerly or variable wind 5 to 10 m/s (11-22mph) and occasional snowshowers, but intermittent snow in north and northwest. Increasing northeast wind by evening, gale or strong gale around midnight and snow- or showers, but mainly dry in the south, strongest in the northwest. North 15 to 23 (34-51 mph) tomorrow, strongest in the southeast. Snow- or showers, but mainly dry in the south and southwest. Temperature 0 to -8 C (32-18 F).
