Warn of calm weather and sunny spells 2504

Today’s weather forecast is a welcome change from the constant storm warnings we’ve been seeing since November.

The south and the west coast will get a dry and pleasant day with sunny spells, but cloudier and some sleet or snow on the eastern coast. Maximum temperatures 3 degrees Celsius (37 Fahrenheit).

The Search and Rescue team in Grindavík on the Reykjanes peninsula, South Iceland, made light of this winter’s bad weather situation by issuing a warning for calm weather.

“Calm weather will batter the country for the next couple of days, followed by occasional sunny spells and mild temperatures. There’s a chance that people could fall over as they have become too accustomed to leaning up against the wind while out and about,” the team posted on their Facebook site.
