The Icelandic Environment Agency has closed the walking paths along Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. Due to rainy weather and melting snow the paths have turned into difficult to navigate mudflats, forcing many visitors to walk on the grass and vegetation instead, causing large scale damage to the delicate vegetation.
