Volcanic pollution from Holuhraun is expected north of the eruption site today (Friday) according to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO). People in Akureyri and other towns in Eyjafjörður fjord can expect rather intense pollution tonight.

Tomorrow the pollution will drift over West Iceland, from Westfjords to the north to the capital in the south. Air quality should though remain good in the area.
