The Reykjavík Petting Zoo in Laugardalur valley has a small flock of sheep. Two out six ewes have already given birth. The five newborn lambs will soon be joined by other new members to the flock as the four other ewes are due any day now.
The flock of goats that share the shed with the sheep has more than doubled in size over the last few days, going from nine does and one buck, to 23 animals. The gender balance has changed radically as of the 13 kids there is only one ew.
