The Icelandic Met Office has issued a weather warning for tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday: Stronge gale warning is in effect with average wind more than 20 m/s (45mph) near noon tomorrow. Expected southwest and weste gale tomorrow evening and in some palces violent storm (average wind more than 28 m/s or 63mph).
Today IMO expects considerable or heavy rain rain, mainly in the southern part of Iceland.
Sunday Increasing southeast wind, 18 to 25 m/s (40-56 mph) in the afternoon and sleet or rain, considerable precipitation in the south and west parts. Temperature 0 to 7 C (32-45 F), but light frost in the northern part until afternoon. Becoming west and southwest 20 to 30 m/s (45-67mph) by evening and night, first in the south, and with sleetshowers and later snowshowers in the western part.
Monday Southwest 18 to 25 m/s (40-56mph) in the morning, 13 to 20 m/s (29-45mph) after noon. Snowshowers, but clearing in the northeast and east parts. Cooling, temperature around freezing point (32 F) late afternoon.
