Viktor Helgi Hjartarson won the 2014 Big Jump competition in Akureyri 341

Among this year’s competitors were brothers Halldór Helgason, Eiríkur Helgason, Guðlaugur Hólm Guðmundsson, Einar Stefánsson and Austrian pro-snowboarders David Pils and Max Glatzl. The snowboarders got three attempts each and then judged by their two best jumps.

Snowboarder Viktor Helgi Hjartarson won the 2014 Big Jump competition which took place in Akureyri town on Saturday. The event is the highlight of AK Extreme, an annual snowboarding and music festival held in Akureyri.

Among this year’s competitors were brothers Halldór Helgason, Eiríkur Helgason, Guðlaugur Hólm Guðmundsson, Einar Stefánsson and Austrian pro-snowboarders David Pils and Max Glatzl. The snowboarders got three attempts each and then judged by their two best jumps.
