The US Department of Defence has released a newsreel-style Facebook video of the cold wather military exercises conducted by US Marines in Þjórsárdalur valley over the weekend. Members of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit are seen marching through the desolate sub-Arctic deserts that spread out of the highlands, in the best Icelandic fall weather, has to offer, freezing cold rain wind and hail.
Even in the cold wind, hail and rain, US marines continue to execute the mission at hand, the video promises us.
