The staff of a downtown café, Café París, were greeted with a strange and unusual sight when they showed up for work on Monday morning. Someone had piled all of the café's patio chairs into a small mountain in front of a nearby bar, Shooters.
An unhappy customer
The manager of Café París told the local news site Vísir that he had been told that the sculpture had been constructed by an angry customer of the next door neighbour, Shooters. There was someone who was unhappy with Shooters, and I'm told he is currently staying in a cell at the police station.
The chairs were locked with a chain which the man managed to get loose, before throwing them all into a giant pile. I'm told he was very intoxicated. The chairs were locked together, but he still managed somehow to bundle them all together like this, I have no idea how. It's just one of those things that happen in the night.
When the staff of Café París pulled the chair-sculpture apart they discovered a bicycle in the middle. The Café has announced it will take steps to twart future artists by taking extra care in the future to lock its chairs better.
