Members of search and rescue units in South Iceland helped two women who got lost in thick fog on the popular hiking trail Fimmvörðuháls yesterday afternoon.
The women were able to contact emergency services and waited for SAR members to reach them, according to local news site Vísir.
They were not injured but cold and in bad condition. ICE-SAR members brought them down at Skógar.
Visibilty was poor on Fimmvörðuháls yesterday due to the fog and bad weather.
