Living here 365 days of the year we are, of course, well aware of the beauty of Iceland. But you have to see it yourself to truly understand the magic.
The publisher of the Rough Guide travel book series asked its readers what country they found most beautiful country in the world. You can see the full list of the top 10 below the photos, but to make a long story short, Iceland came in 8th:

We agree! But there is so much more than black sands and mountains. Waterfalls, for example, or the Central Highlands. And then there is the Aurora:
