The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) is also expecting heavy rain in the southeast parts on Wednesday, so travel condition could be quite tricky.

IMO’s forecast
Tuesday: Northeast winds 8-13 m/s (18-29 mph/29-47 km/h) and intermittent rain in the northwest parts, south and southeast 5-10 m/s (11-22 mph/18-36 km/h) and showers elsewhere, but fair in the northeast.
Wednesday: Increasing northeast winds and starting to rain, 13-20 m/s (29-45 mph/47-72 km/h) by evening and heavy rain in the southeast. Gusts can become much stronger close to mountains. Temperatures 5 to 12 C (41-54 F) during daytime.
