Travel conditions will remain challenging in some areas in Iceland today warns The Icelandic Met Office (IMO). Mountain passes are widely closed in the north and east, where we can expect snowshowers and snowdrift. It will however be mostly fair in the south and west.

The temperature will be around 0 degrees C in the north and the east (32 F) but up to 10 C (50 F) during the day in the south.

The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) has warned drivers of blowing sand on Ringroad One on the Skeiðarársandur sand plain.
