Tourists who visited Iceland betwenn June and July were mostly satisfied with their stay, reveals a new survey conducted by Gallup, ISAVIA and the Icelandic Tourist Board. According to the survey, Iceland received an average grade of 85 out of a 100.
The report shows that guests were more satisfied with their trip the longer they stayed; the average grade given by those who spent 1-2 nights in Iceland was 81, while it was 87 among those who spent 5-14 nights in the country.
Russian tourists had the highest satisfaction level, giving Iceland an average grade of 90.8. Hungarians were the second most satisfied group and Portuguese the third. Japanese tourists had the lowest level of satisfaction, with an average of 73.
The survey posed five questions: overall satisfaction, hospitality, how likely people were to recommend Iceland as a destination, whether expectations were met, and whether people felt they got their money’s worth.
