Accessories by Icelandic brand Daughter of Jón are now available in Topshop’s flagship store on Oxford Circus in London, England. Icelandic born, London based designer, Hedi Jónsdóttir, is the brand’s owner and head designer.
Hedi, who studied fashion design in Vienna and later moved to Barcelona, claims to blend bits from all three countries in her designs: the raw elements of Iceland, the flair of Vienna, and the playfulness and colour of Barcelona's street style.

“I like to use a lot of Icelandic fish skin in my design. I find the material to be both beautiful and easy to work with,” the designer told Fréttablaðið in 2013.
The brand’s name, Daughter of Jón, was chosen because Hedi found it personal and characteristic for her background. “Many ask me where the brand name comes from, when I tell them that I’m Icelandic, very few need further explanation.”
