Tomorrow expected to be the warmest day of summer 3386

There is no reason de despair despite the rain over the past few days: This year‘s summer will grace us with at least one more beautiful day of warm weather and sunshine. In fact, a meteorologist predicts tomorrow will be the warmest day of summer!

Clear skies in the South-West, West and North
Meteorologist Einar Sveinbjörnsson told the local newspaper Morgunblaðið that everything indicated that tomorrow, Tuesday August 25, would be the warmest day of summer. The best weather would most likely be in South-Western, Western and Northern Iceland. The Icelandic Metrological Office is forecasting clear skies and as much as 19°C (66°F) in Reykjavík.

Einar told Morgunblaðið that the rain today is caused by the warm air which is on its way to Iceland from Scandinavia. The heat wave will be particularly welcome in Northern Iceland, where Einar predicts temperatures will exceed 20°C (68°F) for the first time this summer.

But, winter is still coming…
You should make the most of the good weather tomorrow, as the Met Office is forecasting that Wednesday will see the return of colder temperatures and rain. By next weekend the temperature is expected to be back into the single digits Celsius in most of Iceland.
