Inspired by Iceland launched a global search for the “World’s Most Intrepid Tourist” in February this year. That tourist turned out to be Jennifer Asmundson, a chef from the United States, who, along with her friend Corina, was brought on a week-long tour around Iceland.
Jennifer, who is part Icelandic, was thrilled about her first ever trip to the country.
“There are no words. It’s so amazingly beautiful it literally takes your breath away,” she said. Adding: “I’m excited to learn more about Iceland, geothermal heat, the culture and to uncover Iceland’s secrets first hand.”
The Inspired by Iceland campaign was launched in 2010, after the now infamous eruption in Eyjafjallajökull, and is the biggest campaign ever made to promote Iceland.
