The third annual sheep shearing competition takes place at KEX Hostel tomorrow, Saturday.
Skilled farmers from all over the country will compete for the Golden Shears, awarded for shearing speed, quality and skills. The sheep are from Miðgarður farm in Stafholtstungur, West Iceland, and are driven to KEX under supervision of a veterinarian to ensure their well-being.
The farmers and their sheep will gather in the park behind KEX Hostel at 2pm. The family-friendly event is expected to last around two hours.
