We admit it, have seen a better forecast than this. It will be decent in the southwest but the big chill does not budge from the northeast and the central highlands so dress warmly if you are heading that way.

According to the Icelandic Met Office we can expect northerly wind, 5 to 13 m/s (18-47 km/h, 11-29 mph) in the next 24 hours, strongest in the Westfjords but increasing wind by the southeast coast in the evening. Partly cloudy in most places and some drizzle by the north coast but rain showers in the south. Temperature up to 15 degrees C (59 F) in the southwest but 4 to 8 C (39-46 F) in the east.

Sunday: East and northeast 3 to 10 m/s (11-29 km/h, 7-18 mph), strongest wind in the northwest. Cloudy in most parts and some precipitation, but least in the west. Temperature 6 to 16 degrees C (43-61 F), coldest in inland in the northeast.
