The Oslo Christmas tree in Austurvöllur lit for the first time on Sunday 2068

The Christmas tree in Austurvöllur, Reykjavík, will be lit for the first time on Sunday. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 3.30 pm.

Oslo, Reykjavík’s sister city, has gifted Reykjavík with a Christmas tree since 1951. This year's tree is 13 metres (43 ft) tall and weighs 620 kilogrammes (1367 lbs).
