Tourists travelling between London and Keflavík International Airport will soon have more airlines to choose from, as the British airline easyJet has announced it will begin flying between Keflavík and London-Stanstead this fall. And this winter British Airways will also begin flying between Keflavík and London, bringing the number of airlines flying to London to four.
With the addition of easyJet and British Airways the number of flights between Keflavík and London will be up to 60, each week. The increase is quite dramatic, when we consider that in 2012 there were only 19 flights weekly, and only two airlines servicing the route.
According to the local tourism news website turisti.is most of the scheduled flights will be by Icelandair, which will be flying 22 times each week by February 2016, easyJet plans 16 flight, the Icelandic airline WOW air plans 15 weekly flights and British Airways three.
