Strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, also known as the “Mountain” from Game of Thrones, will join the cast of martial arts film “Kickboxer: Retaliation”, reports Vísir.
The film is the sequel to “Kickboxer: Vengeance”, due to be released in theatres later this year. The film is a remake of the 1989 Kickboxer film, which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme as Kurt Sloane. Van Damme portrays Sloane’s mentor in the reboots.
According to Commingsoon.net, pre-production has already begun with Alain Moussi and Jean-Claude Van Damme reprising their roles as Kurt Sloane and Master Durand. Hafþór is set to play Kurt Sloane’s rival.
