The French luxury brand Hermés recently published its AW 2014/15 print ad campaign entitled Metamorphosis. The campaign was shot it Iceland and features French supermodel Othilia Simon and the Icelandic horse.
The campaign seems to pay homage to the brand’s heritage. Thierry Hermés first established the brand in 1837as an upscale harness workshop. Today the fashion power-house designs clothing and accessories – including one of the world’s most coveted fashion accessory: the Hermés Birkin bag, named after actress and singer Jane Birkin.
In February Korean director So Young Kim and Italian fashion house Miu Miu combined forces to produce a beautiful short film entitled “Spark and Light”. The film was shot in Iceland and stars aspiring actress Riley Keough as a young woman who gets stranded road-side on her way to visit her dying mother in hospital. Icelandic poet and author Sjón plays the role of her father and actress María Ellingsen the mother.
The beautiful yet melancholic film was commissioned by Miu Miu as part of a seven film series.
