Civil Protection and Emergency Management has deciced to open Road 864 (east) to Dettifoss waterfall and Ásbyrgi canyon. Road 862 to Dettifoss (west) is still closed as there are no indications that the intensity of the activity in the Bárðarbunga volcanic system is declining.
