Teenage hiker rescued from Látur, North Iceland 1070

37 searchers rescued an injured teenage hiker at Látraströnd, a popular hiking trail located at the northern tip of Eyjafjörður fjord in North Iceland.

The first team arrived on the scene an hour after the call for assistance had been placed. The girl was carried to the seafront at Látur on a stretcher and loaded into a rescue vessel and transported to Ólafsfjörður village.

The rescue mission took seven hours, officials said.
