The poll shows that government of the Progressive Party (Framsóknarflokkurinn) and the Independence Party (Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn) has support of 33% of the nation, however they were voted into power with 51.1% of the popular vote 18 months ago.
The Progressive Party, Prime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson's party is especially hit hard. In the 2013 elections the party got 24% of the votes, now support for the party has nosedived to 11%.
The Progressive Party's partner in Iceland's coalition government, the Independent Party, fares the best of all political parties in the poll with 25.2%.
The Social Democratic Alliance (Samfylkingin) has 20.2% support, Bright Future (Björt Framtíð) 15.3%, the Left Greens (Vinstrihreyfingin grænt framboð) have 12.9% and the Pirate Party has 8.7%.
Parties that do not have members in the Parliament would receive 7% according to the results from the poll.
