Canadian escape artist Dean Gunnarson performed his escape stunt in Reykjavík harbour yesterday and did not impress eyewitnesses. In a nutshell their response on social media can be captured as this: MEHH.
Dean visited Iceland with his production team to film the stunt for a new Canadian-made television series named Escape or Die, which is set to premiere this spring.
Beforehand the stunt was described like this: Dean will be tied up to the mast of a Viking ship that then will be set on fire, if he will not be able to free himself within two minutes explosives on board will blow up.
The spectators thought the fire not burning with much power, found the explosion following his escape somewhat lacking and Dean's watercraft, the alleged Viking ship, rather unremarkable.
