Photographer and filmmaker Nick Konstostavlakis has made a beautiful video of time-lapse photographs from Iceland, “Whispering Iceland”. The stunning video captures how the arctic sun plays a role in the dramatic experience created by Iceland‘s landscapes.
Nick describes how Iceland, a place of 24-hour long summer days, when the sun doesn‘t set, and short winter days with only a few hours of sunlight, is the Mecca of photographers. The video certainly bears out this judgement!

The locations in the video are primarily in the South and West. We see images from VÍk, Sólheimasandur and the black sand beaches of the south coast, Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon and Vesturhorn mountain in the south, Reykjavík, Grótta lighthouse, Reykjanestá peninsula in the south west, Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, the cliffs of Arnarstapi and Malarrif lighthouse on Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west. But there are also images from North East Iceland, Goðafoss waterfall and lake Mývatn.
