Strong blasts of wind will hit the south and southwest coast and the central highlands at noon today.
Gusts of wind will reach up to 35 metres per second (78 mph/126 kilometres per hour) near mountains, increasing the risk of wind-induced rollovers to high-sided vehicles and caravans. Motorists are advised to avoid all travel today. People are also urged to show caution if camping.
