Rangers and facility managers, who worked in the central highlands this season, have returned home. However, since the weather in the area is rather good there is still quite some traffic in the Sprengisandur area.
Hikers, cyclists and motorists can be seen travelling through the area which is usually closed to traffic from mid-September and until late-June.
