The sports therapist Kári Árnason became a very popular man on Facebook on Tuesday, after Iceland’s match against Portugal in the Euro 2016. Kári bears the same name as Icelandic defender, Kári Árnason, who did an incredible job of keeping football legend Cristiano Ronaldo at bay during Tuesday’s match.

“At first I thought it was a computer virus, the friend requests just kept coming,” Kári told reporter Haukur Harðarson. “The requests came from people living in all parts of the world. Thankfully, Kári the therapist was spared hateful comments from Ronaldo-fans on his Facebook page, unlike his namesake, who was bombarded with spiteful comments after the game.
