This spectacular video, shot by Icelandic opthalmologist, photographer and adventurer Ólafur Már Björnsson, captures the amazing landscapes during some of his 2016 hikes. When Ólafur isn't practicing medicine (an ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the medical and surgical care of the eyes) he is busy exploring and enjoying the great Icelandic outdoors.

A second great video shot by Ólafur follows him and a group of hikers, including his son, to the summit of Hvannadalshnjúkur the highest peak in Iceland. The group then descended down the slope on skis.
