All warnings about the uncertainty regarding flooding in Múlakvísl river and Jökulsá river in Sólheimasandur South Iceland have been lifted. However travellers are warned to be vigilant though since dangerous gasses may still reside in the geothermal water flowing under the glacier.
Special precaution should be taken around Sólheimajökull due to the gas and flooding danger involved. People travelling there are encouraged to use the older route in the hill, which is located from the higher parking lot.
