Kjötsúpuhátíðin in Rangárþing eystra district is an annual celebration of the ever-popular, Icelandic meat soup. A number of households in the village of Hvolsvöllur and a few farms near Seljalandsfoss waterfall will invite guests into their homes to feast on home-made ‘kjötsúpa’. Iceland’s only circus will be in town and a local farmers market – a traditional sveitaball (country dance) will take place on Saturday evening.
