During a public information meeting held by the Civil Defence Department yesterday evening, residents were briefed on safety precautions in case a flash flood occurred.

Sulphur dioxide, fluorine, and heavy metals have accumulated in the snow which could mix into drinking water when the snow begins to thaw, resulting in polluted drinking water. This prospect has also caused much concern among scientists and local authorities.
