Residents in Reykjavík woke up to a white, snowy ground this morning after last night’s snowfall. Trucks from the Reykjavík Public Service have been clearing roads since early morning and most major roads and pathways should be clear of snow. However, police advices motorists to drive carefully this morning.

Road conditions in South Iceland are likely to be poor because of snow and snowfall.

Roads in North Iceland are reported to be slick and covered in snow.

Snow and ice make road conditions in West Iceland rather rough.

Ice and snow are expected on roads in the Westfjords. Snowfall is reported on Dynjandisheiði mountain road and limited visibility.

Expect snow and slick roads in East Iceland and Southeast Iceland

Take note! Never head off into the unknown–weather conditions in Iceland can change very quickly. Check the weather forecast before you set off and be well prepared. Keep warm clothing in the car for emergencies.
